Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto — keep your original BMW screen

Add compatible phone navigation, music, calls and messaging to your factory iDrive display. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support wireless connection, while the matching retrofit interface retains supported original controls and vehicle functions.

Choose your factory system before ordering

CCC, CIC, NBT, EVO and MGU versions are not interchangeable. Match the original menu, controller, display connector and power connector. Vehicle series and year alone cannot establish compatibility.

F10 owners: some original menus resemble CIC even when the wiring follows NBT. Confirm the actual connector and pin configuration before choosing a version.

Available for selected BMW 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 Series; X1, X3, X4, X5, X6 and Z4 vehicles with a matching supported system. Selected MINI systems also require a separate fitment check. Screen sizes and model years vary by factory equipment and market.

Wireless connectivity with familiar controls

• Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for compatible phones; wired connection is also supported.
• Use compatible apps such as Google Maps and Waze, music apps, phone calling and supported messaging functions.
• Retain supported factory iDrive and steering-wheel controls; touch operation depends on the original screen.
• Voice control, including Siri with a compatible iPhone.
• AirPlay / Autolink screen mirroring and USB flash-drive media playback. MirrorLink and CarLife support depends on the phone and system configuration.
• Adjustable DSP audio EQ and separate audio settings.
• Switch between the original interface and the retrofit system.

EVO and MGU: when to choose the sound-card option

If your vehicle has no usable AUX audio input, choose EVO + Sound Card or MGU + Sound Card for audio from phone mirroring and USB playback. The sound card provides the additional audio interface required for these functions. Standard EVO and MGU variants do not include this accessory.

Check your original audio setup before ordering. The required connection differs between factory AUX and original Bluetooth audio configurations.

Camera and media support

Supports compatible front and rear cameras and optional 360-degree camera integration. PAL/NTSC CVBS and AHD 720p camera compatibility depends on the module and installation configuration. Retains supported original camera and vehicle functions.

Installation and first connection

The matching harness is designed to connect to compatible factory equipment without cutting the original wiring. Installation time varies by vehicle; professional installation is recommended.

1. Confirm the factory head unit, display connector and exact interface version.
2. Power off the vehicle and follow the matching wiring diagram for power, LVDS, audio, microphone and any optional camera connections.
3. Use the DIP settings on the supplied box label and installation guide for your version and screen. Disconnect module power before changing DIP switches, then reconnect as instructed.
4. For CIC, select the correct controller connection. Do not connect both alternative controller harness sets at the same time.
5. Set the correct audio route. AUX configurations require the appropriate AUX connection and source selection; EVO/MGU configurations without AUX may need the sound-card option.
6. Pair your phone using the module's CarPlay or Android Auto settings, enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi as prompted, and test audio, controls and camera functions before reassembly.
