Specifications & Option Selection

The illustrated complete kit contains the decoder box, mainboard, power/video harness, LVDS cable, microphone, antenna and adhesive pads. The installation overview also shows the internal board/ribbon-cable arrangement. Original screen, head unit and cameras are vehicle equipment or separate purchases, not included replacements.

The decoder hardware shows POWER, LV, MIC and LVDS IN markings. The installation diagram labels USB, microphone, LVDS OUT, FRONT CAM IN, REAR CAM IN, VIDEO IN, 360 ACC, REAR CAM 12V OUT, FRONT CAM 12V OUT and REVERSE 12V IN. These are connection labels, not a promise that every camera or original feature works in every vehicle. No module dimensions are established by the supplied material.

Compatibility

This package is specifically described and illustrated for a factory 6.5-inch head unit. The supplier title’s 7-inch wording conflicts with the selected option, detailed description and screen-comparison images; it is not treated as support for a 7-inch screen.

The comparison image shows the intended 6.5-inch screen with physical RADIO, MEDIA, NAV, PHONE and MORE buttons, and marks two differently styled/button-layout screens as not compatible. Compare the actual display, button arrangement and system hardware; screen size or a similar menu alone is not sufficient to establish fitment. Source-listed years are not a guarantee for every U.S. model year, market, trim or original head unit.

Installation

Internal mainboard installation is required. The installation overview shows removal of the original screen, installation of the mainboard, connection of the decoder box and a function check before reassembly. Professional installation is recommended; this is not simply plugged into the vehicle’s USB port.

Use the Alfa 6.5-inch connection diagram for this package. It shows power-harness and LVDS connections, the microphone and USB lead, and the supported steering-wheel switch button. Check the DIP settings against the box label before installation and reconnect the white connector after changing DIP settings, as instructed in the diagram. No universal DIP numbers or guaranteed installation time are supplied.

The separate camera illustration shows a reverse-signal connection and a separately purchased camera/rectifier arrangement; it is not a universal promise of wire-free camera installation. The settings image distinguishes OEM Camera, AfterMarket Camera and OEM Panoramic Camera and shows microphone-type, parking-sensor and guideline settings. Configure these for the equipment actually installed. The supplied material does not establish a universal factory-Bluetooth or AUX audio route for this 6.5-inch kit; do not substitute the Bluetooth-only routing instructions from another interface.
